This wedding was perfect. She didn’t love the location, she didn’t love her entrance, and she didn’t love her dress. But, she loved the man, and she loved his children, and for her, that made it perfect.

The sound of the ocean was her wedding march. The concrete balcony of the Imperial had been cleared out, the stone tables and blue umbrellas replaced by flowers and a wedding arch. Her family had replaced their swimsuits with dresses and suits.

Every step she took, the world seemed to fade away. All she could see were Tony, Justin, and Robert, next to Sara and Sean. Her family. Then she looked at him. Buzzcut, deep tan, and sharp toothed smile. She didn’t think she would ever feel like she did in that moment. All she had been through, all the love lost and wasted, and yet she’d finally done it. She’d found her forever.
