When my grandpa was in the hospital, I had to bring him his favorite pillow from home.
When I was delivering it to him, I got him a carnation and gave it to him.
He was usually a man who didn’t show much love, but he put his arms out and wrapped me in a huge hug.
I was so joyful.
Sadly, soon after that my grandpa died.
But that made the memory even more special, knowing that that was one of the last hugs he ever gave anyone.
That made me feel better.
