I interviewed my sister Sara at home. She told me about her experience about being accepted to her top school. It was awesome to see her talk about something that was so important to her. She truly deserved it, and worked very hard in high school to make that happen for her.

Waiting to hear back from schools is a nerve racking time for most high school seniors. Sara was very smart, even if she didn’t want to admit it. She’d worked hard throughout her high school career, but that didn’t mean she’d get into the schools she wanted. Ever since she was little she always loved NYC, which is why she loved NYU so much. After touring it, she knew that was the school for her. She had to apply to other schools for multiple reasons including expenses. She didn’t want to be disappointed if she didn’t get in and wanted to keep her options open.

"I just knew this was the school for me. I didn't even visit any other school. It might have been be stupid for me, to not visit anywhere else but I guess it worked out anyways." she said.

As time went on, she started to hear back from schools which was super exciting. At this point she was only waiting for her top school, NYU.

"I was so nervous." Sara said.

After school, she checked the mail like she had been doing to see if there were any updates on her application. Today was the day she’d find out if she got into her top school.

"What if, my emotions were crazy that day.."

But, even if she did she would need a scholarship to fully decide because of how expensive the school is.

As she opens it, she is shocked. She got into her top school, but not only did she get in she got one of the top scholarships there. She knew after this her life would be changed forever, which it was. After all the stressing all senior year, she was relieved and excited to start planning the next four years.

"I knew my life changed from that moment on."

After discussing everything and making a decision, her wish came true. She had committed to the school of her dreams, NYU.
