I really like this memory because this shows the anxiety of having a kid. It was a first-time experience for my father and I really enjoyed listening to his experience and putting it into context.

The time has come. Moshe is about to have his first kid, Claudia. He is so nervous, yet extremely excited that he is about to be a father. He shuffles the soon-to-be mother into the car and begins to weave his way through traffic. He can feel his hands shaking on the steering wheel as the anxiety and excitement begins to creep in after the initial shock. After what felt like an eternity, he finally got him and his wife to the hospital. Instantly, what seemed like 50 nurses got Alla into a wheelchair and rushed her off to the delivery room. Claudia is on her way. My father questioned, "Should I go into the delivery room"? He decided to go in for the emotional support but he is absolutely terrified. He has never done something like this before. Finally, after 6 hours, Claudia was born. When Moshe was holding her and looking at her angelic face, he did not realize he could love someone so much. This was a whole new type of love that Moshe had not experienced before. He handed Claudia back to Alla and began crying tears of joy. Moshe could not believe that he’s a father. Finally, Moshe and Alla took Claudia home. Moshe could not stop holding the newborn. He just wanted to protect her at all costs and did not want her out of his sight. The new father is so excited to embark on this whole new journey of parenthood.
