This photo was taken from my trip to Europe in Summer 2009. It was taken from a bus window in Switzerland.

Greetings from Switzerland,

I’m cramped in a bus seat, on my way from Paris to the mountains in Switzerland. I can’t sleep, I look out the window. Am I dreaming? I rub my eyes, stretch, and look again. No, seriously, am I dreaming? My mouth is wide open and I stare in awe, I cannot believe how beautiful it looks. I always thought that I was well traveled, I thought I knew what beautiful places looked like, but this view does not compare to anything I have ever seen.

This sight looks like it is out of a story book, it is so unbelievable that I do not know how to describe it, all I know is that I am filled with a lot joy and emotion. I feel like a kid that sees something new and cool for the very first time, you know that feeling of disbelief that what you see is real? That is how I feel. The clear powder blue sky is filled with pillow like clouds. The mountains with snowy peaks that touch the sky, the green trees everywhere and the best part, the reflection in the water. It looks picturesque, that I still cannot believe that it is real, it really looks like a picture from a fairytale. We are driving up a very narrow windy road, I am starting to feel nauseous from looking out the window for this long, but I cannot look away. I realize that my mind is completely clear, my back has stopped hurting, my nausea has gone away, I don’t hear a thing, it is peaceful and calming, and it feels amazing.

I cannot wait to explore, as I start to come back to reality, I hear my group leader discussing

This photo was taken in Switzerland in 2009, from a bus window. the different activities we can do while we are here. I think I might go skydiving, even though it is not really my thing, but it seems like a once in a life time opportunity to skydive in the Swiss Alps...

Greetings from Switzerland
