A Hopeful Beginning

I am a transfer student for fall 2014 term. I studied in Macao for past two years. Actually deciding to be a transfer student was a difficult decision for me. It means that I had to leave all of my friends I had made and far away from my hometown. I needed to adapt a new environment. When I arrived in the United States, I felt that I was lonely. My roommate cried everyday during that time. It also made me a little sad. I have a friend who is studying in Philadelphia. We grew up together. He visited me and took me to a restaurant at that weekend. We chatted for a long time. We talked about our childhood happy memories, our plans and so on. When I backed my dorm, I took this picture. From that day, I knew that I am not alone. I already have a best friend in Philadelphia and I would have some new friends in my new life. I thought that I should to enjoy my life. The postcard presents a normal picture, but it is a meaningful photo for me. It means a hopeful beginning for me. I believe that I will have memorable experiences in the United States.
