People often take a look at me and they would never guess that I was a singer. They, of course, would be wrong.
I have been singing for most of my life, and I began playing piano when I was 8 years old. The piano was gorgeous, especially because it was my grandmother’s Shoemaker piano. And I still have it (and play it!) to this day. The ivory keys may not be played every day, but I still enjoy tickling them when I am working on a song.
I’ve always been singing, but I experienced a major turning point while I was spending a year in Ithaca with Ernie. My stepdaughter Miriam introduced me to a singing instructor that took my singing to a new level.
And now, with each harmonious melody, I keep turning heads with my singing to this day.
